Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Cornerstone Advocacy. By accessing our website or engaging in our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. We encourage you to read them carefully.

Our work is built on integrity, clarity, and mutual respect.

1. Scope of Services

We provide special education advocacy guidance, coaching, and strategic support for parents, caregivers, and educators.

Our services are educational and consultative in nature. We do not provide legal, medical, or psychological services.

While we offer informed guidance rooted in experience, we cannot guarantee specific school decisions, IEP outcomes, or educational placements.

2. Virtual Services

All services are delivered remotely via video, phone, or electronic communication.

Clients are responsible for maintaining reliable internet access and technology. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues outside of our control.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure effective collaboration, clients agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information

• Share relevant educational records in a timely manner

• Participate actively in sessions

• Communicate respectfully and professionally

Advocacy is most effective when we work in partnership.

4. Payment, Cancellations, and Refund Policy

We view time and expertise as stewardship. When services are reserved, professional time and preparation are set aside specifically for you.

Payment

Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may result in forfeiture of the session fee.

Our schedule is intentionally limited so we can serve families with excellence and without burnout.

Non-Refundable Services

Because our services involve strategic analysis, document review, preparation, and written advocacy support, fees are non-refundable once professional work has begun.

This includes:

• Completed virtual sessions

• Time spent reviewing documents

• Strategy development

• Preparation for IEP meetings

• Drafting of reports or written summaries — even if the final document has not yet been delivered

Once a session has occurred or preparation/report drafting has begun, the service is considered in progress and non-refundable.

Packages & Memberships

IEP preparation packages become non-refundable once document review or preparation has started.

Monthly memberships are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins. Clients may cancel future billing at any time; cancellation applies to the next cycle.

Unused services do not roll over unless otherwise stated.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

We handle sensitive student and family information with care and discretion. Client information is used solely for providing advocacy services and is not shared except as required by law.

6. Limitation of Liability

We provide guidance and recommendations based on experience and professional knowledge. However, we are not responsible for school decisions, district actions, or outcomes resulting from the implementation of recommendations.

Clients remain responsible for final decisions regarding their child’s education.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved under Texas law.

8. Nationwide Services

While we serve clients nationwide, education laws vary by state. We provide general advocacy guidance and encourage clients to verify state-specific requirements when necessary.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the most current version.

By engaging in our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
